Description |
The expressive hippopotamus comes to life through individually drawn words and phrases that celebrate massive form,
aquatic life and unmistakable African character. From a distance, the typography forms a striking image; up close, the piece
becomes an engaging experience of reading and discovery. |
The expressive hippopotamus is celebrated through words and phrases connected to massive form, aquatic life and
unmistakable African character. Instead of traditional lines and shading, the typography supplies the contours, texture and
character of the image itself. From a distance, the words blend together into a recognizable composition. Up close,
individual words begin to emerge, transforming the artwork into something to read, explore and discover. Every letter is
individually drawn, and no word or phrase is repeated within the piece. The combination of strong visual appeal,
subject-specific language and puzzle-like discovery gives the design versatile licensing possibilities across puzzles, gifts,
stationery, educational or specialty merchandise, apparel, accessories and home decor.
