The artwork "The Eternal Fight" by Sarah Richter is a dark allegory of heaven and hell, God and the devil, eternally battling for possession of a fragile human soul. A weathered stone angel cradles an unconscious young woman in a pale dress, gazing sorrowfully toward the heavens. Cracks run through the angel’s stone body, eroded by time until it seems to weep. From a shattered grave below, skeletal hands reach upward, clawing at her legs, desperate to drag her down. Set before an ancient cemetery and a looming crypt, the scene depicts an everlasting battle between light and darkness |
